Who we are
fold33.io is run by Fold33, LLC, a company in the United States that makes digital products and does AI and IT work, by request. For anything on this page, write to hello@fold33.io.
What we collect when you send a brief
- What you asked for, and your answers to the brief's questions.
- Your name and email address. If you give them: your company or website, a phone number and a good time to call, and a note.
- Whether you marked the request as urgent.
- A little context to help us reply: your time zone, your browser's language, the site that linked you here, any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), and whether the page was in night or paper.
- Spam checks: how long the brief took to fill in, a hidden field that only bots fill in, and the result of Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending.
- A salted, one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to limit how many briefs one connection can send. The rate-limit records are deleted after two days; the copy kept with a brief is deleted with the brief.
The drawing in the brief is made in your browser from the words you type and is not sent. If you email us instead, we get what you write and your email address, as with any email.
When you just visit
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying you: which page, the referring site, the country, the kind of browser and device, and how fast the page loaded, reported to us only as totals. Like any web host, Cloudflare also handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and keep attacks out. We keep no log of who visits.
We don't follow you around the web, and nothing on fold33.io lets anyone else do it: no advertising or social media scripts, and no cookies that work across sites. So a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser changes nothing here; there is no tracking for it to switch off.
Your browser remembers a few settings for this site on your device: night or paper, whether motion is paused, and when you last saw the opening animation. An unsent brief is kept in the tab's session storage until you send it, start over or close the tab. None of this leaves your device, except night or paper travelling with a brief, as above.
Why
To read your request, reply to it, and work out what it would take. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't use your brief for anything else.
If you need the legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering messages and keeping the form free of spam.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the code that receives a brief, stores briefs in its database (D1), runs the spam check (Turnstile) and counts visits (Web Analytics).
- Resend delivers the email that tells us a brief has arrived.
- Our email provider hosts the hello@fold33.io mailbox, where that email, and anything you write to us directly, arrives.
They act on our behalf, under their own data protection terms. We and they are based in the United States, so if you write to us from another country, what you send is processed in the US.
How long we keep it
Briefs, and the emails about them, for 12 months after you send them, then we delete them. If we start work together, we keep what the project needs for as long as it runs, and what the law requires businesses to keep afterwards. Rate-limit records: two days.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@fold33.io from the address you used, and we'll answer within a month. We do this for anyone who asks, wherever they live. If you're in the EU or the UK and aren't happy with the answer, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Rather not use the form at all? Email us directly; nothing about you is stored on the site.
Children
fold33.io is for businesses. It isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us a brief, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If any of this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
